Yang Zhongzhen is a Tier-2 Professor (二级教授) at Ningbo University, Doctoral Supervisor, and Ningbo Leading Talent. He also holds positions as a Chongqing Bayu Scholar Lecture Professor, External Director of Zhegang Group, and Expert in the Zhejiang World-Class Port Construction Project Expert Think Tank. He serves as a member of the 6th and 7th Discipline Review Group of the State Council, member of the Teaching Steering Committee for Transportation and Engineering of the Ministry of Education, Associate Editor of the international journal Transport Policy, and Editorial Board Member of Maritime Economics and Logistics.
His research focuses on port and shipping logistics management and engineering, integrated transportation system optimization, regional logistics network design, urban logistics, and land use-transportation modeling. He has led multiple National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) projects, published over 200 academic papers in domestic and international journals, and authored several academic monographs.
